About Me

From an early age, I have always been interested in sports medicine. It combines two of my biggest passions, sports and getting to work with athletes. One piece of experience that I have is that I have shadowed at physical therapy clinics. While there, I helped hook up patients with electrodes, get ice and heat packs, helped clean tables, do laundry, and most importantly shadowed the PT’s themselves in order to learn about the job. My favorite sport is tennis, and I play in college, but I also played hockey until I was 15. I will always love the sport and definitely will go back to it after college. In my junior year of high school, I hit a massive growth spurt and ended up getting stress fractures in both of my tibias which took me away from tennis for about 6 months. This time I met with a sports medicine doctor, who inspired me to become one myself. While in my undergrad, I am keeping my options open by doing a double major in pre-med and Economics. I really love economics, but I am unsure what I would do with that degree at this time. For now, I will try to do both routes, and an Econ degree can make my med school application stand out from others.
